Golf In Sardinia at Bitas 2010

Monday, March 15, 2010 at the International Fair of Sardinia was inaugurated "Bitas", the first International Tourism Fair of the island. Opening the introductive conference, besides the alderman of Tourism Sebastiano Sannitu, there were Carlo de Mohaci Modica (advisor to the Minister of Tourism Michela Vittoria Brambilla) and the mayor of Cagliari Emilio Floris.

For the three-day duration of the fair, Sardinian tourist operators have the opportunity to meet the demand from operators around the world. The goal is to promote the tourism product in the open air and to launch the "other season": the new season over the summer. The initiative is organized by the Agency Sardegna Promozione with the Regional Department of Tourism.

The presence of Sardinian operators is relevant: 260 in all are divided into 133 representatives of accommodations, hotels, B & B Farm and camps, and 107 operators in the “not receptive” sector, as tourism services, travel agencies, tour organizers and transport companies. In addition there are 20 institutions: consortia, local tourist industries, associations and foundations. The “buyers” selected worldwide are 80 tour operators from Italy, USA, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Holland, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France and Spain.

Tuesday 16, Franco Atzeri and the staff of Golf in Sardinia have been present at the fair to promote the increasing offer of this sport all around the island, as the Incoming Agency to Sardinia Golf System, the promotional brand born from a collaboration between FIG and the Department of Tourism.
